Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors’ Responsibilities:
Upon submission, authors must disclose any financial (grants, consultancies, stock ownership) or personal (academic competition, corporate affiliations) relationships that could bias their work. If no conflict exists, the following statement must be included: "The authors declare no conflict of interest".

Reviewers’ Responsibilities:
Reviewers must recuse themselves if:
  • They have co-authored with the authors within the last 3 years.
  • They are affiliated with the same institution as the authors.
  • A direct competitive or personal conflict exists.
Editors’ Responsibilities:
Editors shall not be involved in decisions regarding manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Such manuscripts are assigned to an independent editorial board member.
